Hello my name is Tinna Farmer and I will be the Bantam Manager for the 2010 season. I have been involved with SGDMFA for the last 6 years. Last year I was the assistant manager with Kathy Jacobs for the Bantam Predators.
I am looking forward to a great season this year with coach Brent and his staff. This year because of a new ruling from our governing body, Football Alberta, there will be no practices at all for the entire month of July.
We will resume practices on Tuesday August 3, 2010 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM.
I am looking for someone to help control the boys (both players and coaches) on the sidelines as well as a trainer to help with any injuries that happen during the game and practice. If you are interested please let me know. You can reach me via e-mail at tsfarmer@telus.net or by phone Home: 780-967-2745 or Cell: 780-239-8364.
Keep checking the website for any changes that may be made.
TIER 1 PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS!!!
Bantam Cougars 2009
The Spruce Grove Bantam Cougars had an amazing season, and it was all due to the perseverance and dedication of a true team! This group of players were a movie in the making, as they came together this season and made dreams come true! They had an incredible season, only losing twice to the SP Rams. That proved to be in their favour, as they took them by surprise in the final! As the Cougars team was pulling up in our school bus, the equipment trailer and coach drops off the opposing team. These details didn't seem to be part of the game in the long run, as our Cougars linked together to make this team the champions in the city! The next step seemed easy as the Cougars took a big bite out of the Lethbridge Bulldogs in a 48-0 execution. Going into the provincial final was the team's ultimate goal, and they took this challenge seriously. The boys worked hard on their game plan, and things seemed to go their way at the end of a hard fought battle. The final score was 31-30 for the champion Cougars in a game they will never forget! Don't you wish you were part of it all? Join Spruce Grove Football and become part of the legacy!
